I am a long time fan of everything Star Wars. Unlike most kids, who were obsessing about Harry Potter, and the Lord of the Rings, I was picking up any Star Wars novel or comic that I could get my hands on. I grew up during the Episode II and III period and the vast majority of the new material…
I almost 100% agree with you on everything. I can definitely say that I loved all 6 movies and The Clone Wars movie and TV show almost equally. I personally liked The Phantom Menace more than A New Hope, and I can explain why.
Both Episode IV: A New Hope and Episode I: The Phantom Menace are extremely random. Many of the events that happened in both film were entirely by chance. A New Hope however is almost twice as random as The Phantom Menace and has nearly ZERO reason for the chain of events. At least in The Phantom Menace the general plot line has more reasoning behind it. I love both movies almost equally but I feel that The Phantom Menace is slightly better.
In regards to Hayden Christensen’s acting in Episode II: Attack of The Clones, he was acting the way he was told to. Anakin Skywalker was only 21 in Episode II (if I recall correctly) and he was full of angst. If he grew up in Seatle in the 1990’s he would listen to Nirvana. Let’s not forget that Anakin was spoiled by the High Council. He was never a youngling/initiate and was over praised for his abilities. So for him it was difficult to be criticized. And that is why Hayden Christensen acted the way he did.
In my personal ranking I would place Episodes I-VI in this order:
In my personal opinion I feel that both the Original Trilogy and the Prequel Trilogy are equal. Both trilogies have certain attributes that are better than the other and both trilogies have their flaws.
P.S. Anakin Skywalker wasn’t created by Darth Sidious. In Episode III: Revenge of The Sith it is hinted at the possibility that Anakin was created by Sidious’s former master Darth Plagueis the Wise. In the Expanded Universe, which is non-canon, this is revealed to be true. In the Tales of Mortis story arc in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is canon, The Father hints that Anakin was created by him for the purpose of replacing him.
The moment when you can clearly see the sadness in Captain Rex’s face.
why is donkey kong not a donkey
Nintendo chose the word donkey because a donkey is stubborn and aggressive. Nintendo believed that North Americans would understand this reference. Clearly they were mistaken…
does anyone else have that one fictional character that they’re just so emotionally attached to that someone saying anything remotely negative about them feels like a personal attack on you but you never say anything about it or ask them to stop because people can hate whoever the fuck they want and you’re fully aware of how stupid it is to get offended over a fictional character anyways???
or is that just me
I actually have several surprisingly. These include Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, Samus Aran, Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Rintarō Okabe, and Kurisu Makise.
Also I forgot to mention that I found a PS3 game bundle for a really good price. It was BioShock Infinite (with BioShock 1 on the same disc) bundled with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. These 3 amazing games for $29.99. I saw it at Best Buy and Gamestop/EB Games. So if you wanted these games, now is your best chance!
Okay I’m taking a break from Star Wars: The Clone Wars just to get lunch. It’s been 10 minutes and I’m shaking like a heroin junkie going through withdrawal. MUST. FINISH. SEASON. 6.
